Shakib Al Hasan could not replicate his first match’s form, but his team Jamaica Tallawahs did record a four-wicket win over Trinbago Knight Riders in their CPL 2017 game on Wednesday.

Winning the toss, Jamaica skipper Kumar Sangakkara opted to bat first. His bowlers, however, were on the receiving end early in the game as the top four batsmen of Trinbago—Sunil Narine (23 off 11), Brendon McCullum (16 off 9), Colin Munro (41 off 25) and Darren Bravo (33 off 25) -- gave their team the perfect start.

However, they lost eight wickets in the space of just 38 runs, getting bundled out for 147 from 109 for 2. Kesrick Williams and Odean Smith grabbed three wickets each to keep Jamaica in the game while Krishmar Santokie bagged a brace.

Jamaica openers Sangakkara and Lendl Simmons (38) made 61 in the first wicket to pave the way for the win. Sunil Narine and Kevon Cooper did take two wickets each to threaten the Tallawahs, but when Sangakkara (47) was out on 123, the game was already decided.

Shakib made 16 while Jonathan Foo hit 19 off 11 balls to see the team home.
