Local government, rural development and cooperatives (LGRD) minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain on Saturday suddenly fell sick while delivering speech at a public meeting in Manikganj's Ghior, reports UNB.
The minister was addressing the programme at Ghior College playground after inaugurating some development works in the district.
Later his personal staffs gave him some water while a physician immediately came there and checked his blood pressure and gave him necessary treatment.
Ten minutes later, Khandker Mosharraf Hossain stood up and finished his speech briefly. He later started for Dhaka.
However, before falling sick, in his speech he said BNP is afraid of the election and that's why they're talking about boycotting it without getting Khaleda Zia freed.
Mentioning that the national election will be held in the mid of December, the minister said Awami League wants BNP chairperson to participate in the election but it is not in their hand to free any sentenced person.
