Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza along with his wife Sumona Haque Sumi and two children paid a visit to their domestic help’s house at Jugania village in Nalitabari upazila of Sherpur, reports UNB.
They together with Tuni arrived at the house around 2:00pm on Friday and spent two and half hours with her family.
Locals said Tuni has been working as domestic help at Mashrafe’s Mirpur house in the capital for the last eight years while her father Akkas Ali worked there as a security guard for nine years before leaving the job two years ago following illness.
Tuni wanted to visit her family after Eid holidays. To fulfill her wish, Mashrafe, also MP from Narail-2 constituency, paid the visit to her house together with her.
Chairman of Nalitabari upazila parishad Moksedur Rahman Lebu said, “Mashrafe took all the responsibilities of Tuni and her family. He helped construct a tin-shed house for her family. He also provided financial assistance for Akkas Ali’s treatment.”
