The health condition of former mayor of Sylhet city corporation, Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran , has deteriorated. He tested positive for coronavirus on Friday and was admitted to Sylhet Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital on Saturday morning.
In the meantime, his respiratory problems have worsened and he is being flown to Dhaka on Sunday.
Resident medical officer (RMO) of Sylhet Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital, Sushanta Kumar Mahapatra, said that Kamran’s breathing problems had increased and certain complications appeared in his chest x-ray. He is being flown to Dhaka by air ambulance for advanced treatment.
Deputy director of Sylhet MAG Osmany Medical College Hospital, Himangshu Lal Roy, said former mayor Kamran was already suffering from certain health complications. Kamran’s son Arman Ahmed had made arrangements for an air ambulance to take his father to Dhaka in the afternoon. He will be taken to the airport by the hospital ambulance. It is not known to which hospital he will be admitted in Dhaka.
