The government decided to keep internet services undisrupted on Monday, a day after giving instruction to mobile phone operators to slow down internet speed to check question paper leaks of SSC examinations.
President of Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ASPAB) MA Hakim confirmed the instruction issued by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission in the morning.
As per the Sunday's instruction, the operators slowed down internet speed for around 10 minutes on Monday morning. Later, the speed became normal again following the new instruction.
Earlier on Sunday, the BTRC instructed mobile phone operators to curb the internet speed from 8:00am to 10:30am on the exam days from 12 February to 24 February and from 12:00pm to 2:30pm on 18 February in a bid to prevent question paper leakage during the ongoing SSC exams.
