General secretary of Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) and a former MP of Kolkata Manoj Bhattacharya on Sunday said the recent citizenship acts passed by the government of Narendra Modi in Delhi are against humanity, reports UNB.
“Indian citizenship legislations are against the humanity. The supporters of Modi have been killing Muslims in India making various reasons to create a panic among people so that general people can’t protest against anti-social acts,” Manoj Bhattacharya said at a programme in Dhaka.
Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB)’s adviser comrade Monjurul Ahsan Khan said Narendra Modi is an extremist leader, noting he was a member of RSS and that an RSS member killed Mahatma Gandhi.
“SKSD leader comrade Ruhul Amin Kaiser was a Marxist. He was an excellent trade union leader then. But now our trade union leaders don’t work for workers without their self-interest,” he added.
SKSD general secretary Mokaddem Hossain presided over the program while BSSF leader Harunar Rahid Bhuiyan, among others, was present there.
Bangladesh Sanjukta Sramik Federation (BSSF) and Sramik-Krishak Samajwadi Dal (SKSD) jointly organised the discussion meeting marking the 45th death anniversary c Comrade Ruhul Amin Kaiser, a founder of SKSD, at the National Press Club in the capital.
Manoj Bhattacharya said the supporters of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) killed Muslims for carrying beef to create a panic only in the regions.
“Narendra Modi wants to spread the communal riot in Bangladesh too. So, Bangladeshi people should be careful in this regard,” he also said.
He added neo-liberalism does not want democracy. The value of democracy is going down now. So, young generations have to think in this regard.
The National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) supported by the ruling Hindu nationalists have sent shockwaves through the nation of India. Many Muslims were recently killed in communal violence in the country, he said.
