Jahangir Hossain new BTB CEO

Md Jahangir Hossain has joined as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB).

Jahangir Hossain who joined on 5 August as BTB CEO, started his professional career in Civil Service (Administration) Cadre in 1989, said a press release on Monday.

He worked in different divisions and ministries including Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Public Service Commission, Department of Women Affairs, Ministry of Post and Telecom, Ministry of Textile and Jute, etc. Prior to joining BTB, he served as the additional secretary at the Security Services Division, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Jahangir Hossain studied Economics at the University of Dhaka and earned his Bachelor of Social Science and a Master’s of Social Science in Economics from the National University.

He travelled many countries including Thailand, China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Nepal, Malta, UK, USA, Germany, Sweden, Italy, France, Denmark, Turkey and KSA for official purposes.
