Actress Priyanka improves a bit, still on life support

Actress Priyanka Zaman, who is undergoing treatment for blood infection, has improved a bit. Physicians, however, said she will still have to be kept on life support at Square Hospital's intensive care unit (ICU). 

Priyanka, known for anchoring BTV's 'Chhayachhanda', was put on life support on Friday following deterioration of her health, according to the actress' family.

Priyanka’s elder sister Liza Zaman, after visiting her, told Prothom Alo, “I called her but she didn’t respond or open her eyes. I don’t know how long it will take to recover.”

Liza said the family has been struggling to meet treatment cost.

“Doctors said she needs to be kept on life support for many more days. We have become helpless,” Liza said.

She also urged all to come forward to help the family bearing the expense of Priyanka’s treatment.
