Actress Priyanka Zaman, who was undergoing treatment for blood infection, has been put on life support at Square Hospital's intensive care unit (ICU).
Priyanka, known for anchoring BTV's 'Chhayachhanda', was put on life support on Friday following deterioration of her health, according to the actress' family.
A physician of Square Hospital told Prothom Alo that Priyanka's condition is critical as she has recently been diagnosed with pneumonia.
Her heart is now working only 30 per cent, he added.
The physicians, however, expressed hope of Priyanka's recovery as she is young.
The actress-model was admitted to Islami Bank Hospital first with a serious infection in blood on Thursday.
Priyanka is a known face for television viewers. She acts regularly in TV plays, music videos and television commercials (TVCs).
