A new address. A new experience. And, more importantly, a new way of imagining what a Bangladeshi luxury fashion house can become.
House of Ahmed on Friday opened the doors to its new outlet at Ventura Mall, Gulshan 2, marking the beginning of Chapter 2 for the brand. Spanning approximately 4,500 square feet across two floors, the new space is more than a retail destination. It is an extension of the House of Ahmed universe, where couture, craftsmanship and hospitality come together.
For House of Ahmed, this new chapter is not simply about rebuilding. It is about reimagining, rethinking the customer experience, sharpening the brand’s design language and creating a stronger vision for the future.
Speaking about the new chapter, Ahmed Tuhin Reza, co-founder, House of Ahmed, said, "Chapter 2 is deeply personal for us. What we have experienced has tested us in ways we had not anticipated, but it has also reminded us why we started House of Ahmed in the first place. We believe Bangladesh has the talent, craftsmanship and heritage to create luxury that can stand proudly anywhere in the world. We chose to move forward because we believe in that vision. Chapter 2 is not about going back to where we were; it is about moving forward with greater clarity, stronger purpose and an even bigger ambition."
House of Ahmed is rooted in Bangladeshi heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary design. The brand seeks to bring the richness of South Asian artistry into modern couture while maintaining a distinctly Bangladeshi identity. Traditional art forms and textiles, including zardori and Bangladeshi damdaani, are part of its wider ambition to take expressions of Bangladeshi craftsmanship to the world.
The press conference was held in the afternoon, setting the stage for the main event later in the evening. Unlike a conventional launch or fashion event, however, the evening was refreshingly free of elaborate formalities. Instead, it unfolded as an intimate and celebratory gathering, bringing together House of Ahmed’s loyal customers, celebrities, models, fashion personalities and close friends of the brand.
As the evening progressed, their presence transformed the occasion into something truly special. The gathering seemed to sparkle with familiar faces, creating an atmosphere that was warm, vibrant and effortlessly glamorous. It was less about ceremony and more about celebrating the enduring relationship between House of Ahmed and the people who have supported and shaped its journey. For a few hours, the venue came alive like a constellation of stars, reflecting the brand’s growing presence and its strong connection with the fashion community.
The new outlet has been conceived as more than a place to view or purchase clothing. The space is designed to offer customers the experience of entering a luxury fashion house.
Across its two floors, customers will encounter distinct yet connected experiences. One area allows them to explore curated collections, while more intimate spaces are dedicated to couture, bridal and bespoke consultations. The journey is designed to move naturally from discovery to deeper personalisation.
The interior follows the same philosophy that defines the brand’s clothing, heritage interpreted through a contemporary lens. The space is refined, warm and sophisticated, while keeping the craftsmanship of the garments at the centre. Elements inspired by the textures and embellishment of the garments have also been incorporated into different parts of the store, creating a visual connection between the clothes and their surroundings.
The new outlet brings together House of Ahmed’s signature couture and occasion-wear, alongside bridal and festive collections. But the brand is also expanding the idea of luxury beyond special occasions.
Its Friday Signature Collection offers everyday premium wear, creating another entry point into the House of Ahmed world.
Chapter 2 also introduces new expressions of the brand’s design language, including specially curated pieces. The brand also plans to introduce exclusive and limited-edition creations, giving customers opportunities to experience something more distinctive.
Customer experience is central to this new chapter.
From the first consultation to the final fitting, House of Ahmed wants every interaction to feel personal, thoughtful and worthy of the occasion.
Its bespoke service allows customers to work directly with the team on silhouettes, fabrics, colours, embroidery, detailing and finishing, creating garments that feel uniquely theirs.
Bridal couture remains an important part of House of Ahmed’s identity, and the new outlet gives the brand greater scope to make that experience even more personal.
The bridal journey begins with understanding the bride, her vision for the wedding, her personal style, the ceremonies and the emotions she wants her wardrobe to express.
From there, the House of Ahmed team works through design, fabric, craftsmanship, fittings and finishing to create a complete bridal vision.
Couture and bridal clients will also have access to personalised consultations and private appointments. Styling, fabric selection, silhouette, embroidery, fitting and personalisation will all form part of an integrated experience.
For Tenzila Elma, co-founder, House of Ahmed, this new chapter represents the emotional and creative evolution of the house.
“For us, luxury has always been about more than a garment. It is about the hands that create it, the stories woven into it and the culture that gives it meaning. Chapter 2 gives us an opportunity to look at everything we have built, refine it and take it further. We want House of Ahmed to become a name that represents the beauty of Bangladesh with confidence, where our heritage is not simply preserved, but reimagined for a new generation and a global audience.”
At the heart of House of Ahmed is a deep connection to Bangladesh’s textile traditions, artisanal skills and cultural heritage.
The brand positions itself as a Bangladeshi luxury fashion house that brings the richness of South Asian artistry into modern couture while maintaining a distinctly Bangladeshi identity.
This vision is supported by a production ecosystem involving more than 500 artisans, specialising in embroidery, hand embellishment, textile work, finishing and other traditional techniques.
Creating a highly detailed couture piece can take weeks or even months, depending on the complexity of the design and the level of hand craftsmanship involved. Every layer of embroidery, embellishment and finishing demands patience, precision and time.
This commitment to craftsmanship lies at the heart of House of Ahmed’s idea of “Luxury Made in Bangladesh.”
For the brand, the phrase is not simply about where a garment is produced. It is about creating world-class fashion without losing the identity of its origin, putting Bangladeshi craftsmanship, creativity and cultural heritage on the same stage as global luxury.
It is a philosophy that allows the brand to look outward without losing sight of where it comes from.
It is about refining a design language, creating a deeper relationship with customers, bringing heritage into contemporary luxury and demonstrating what Bangladeshi craftsmanship can mean on a global stage.
One of the key developments of Chapter 2 is Ilaf, a new proposition from House of Ahmed exploring another expression of tradition.
Rooted in craftsmanship but designed for a younger, more versatile and everyday occasion-led customer, Ilaf is aimed at people who appreciate design, quality and cultural detail but want greater versatility in their wardrobes.
It allows House of Ahmed to address a wider range of occasions and customers without diluting the identity of its main couture house.
While House of Ahmed remains rooted in couture, ceremony and occasion-led luxury, Ilaf will be more fluid, traditional yet versatile. The two will share a commitment to craftsmanship but express it through different design languages and customer experiences.
Ilaf will also be positioned at a more accessible price point than traditional House of Ahmed couture, making elevated design and craftsmanship available to a wider audience.
The opening of the new House of Ahmed is therefore more than the launch of another fashion outlet. It marks the next stage in the evolution of a brand with a much larger ambition.
Over the coming years, House of Ahmed aims to establish itself as a recognised South Asian luxury house with Bangladesh at its heart and the world as its audience.
Its plans include strengthening its couture offering, expanding its retail and international presence, developing new propositions such as Ilaf and continuing to invest in the craftsmanship that defines the house.
Ultimately, Chapter 2 is about more than creating new collections or opening a new space.
It is about refining a design language, creating a deeper relationship with customers, bringing heritage into contemporary luxury and demonstrating what Bangladeshi craftsmanship can mean on a global stage.
House of Ahmed is not simply opening a new chapter. It is reimagining luxury.
