Bangladesh restricted Zimbabwe to 131 runs in the first T20 of the three-match series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Friday.
In face of Bangladeshi bowlers, the visitors managed to set an easy 132-run target in 19.3 against Tigers.
Bangladesh bowlers picked Zimbabwe wickets in regular intervals, fencing Zimbabwe in a reachable total.
Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza struck first at his first over in the innings and trapped Zimbabwe’s opener Sikandar Raza into a slower delivery.
At his second consecutive over, Mashrafe struck the visitors again, bowling Elton Chigumbura out.
At the second over of the match, pacer Al-Amin Hossain took RW Chakabva’s wicket at Zimbabwe’s 8 runs. Later Nasir Hossain joined Mashrafe and Al-Amin as the Bangladesh all-rounder bowled Williams.
Bangladesh wonder boy Mustafizur Rahman took two wickets - Waller and Panyangara.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to field in first Twenty20 of the two-match series against Zimbabwe at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
Mshrafe captains the Tigers squad in the T20 series.
