Shakib becomes a father again

Bangladesh’s star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been blessed with another daughter.

His wife Umme Ahmed Shishir gave birth to their second baby girl around 4:30pm on Friday (Bangladesh time) in the United States, family members said.

“Both the new-born and her mother are now doing well. We seek prayers for their health and well-being,” said Shakib’s mother Shirin Akter.

She added, “Shakib is still at the hospital. I don’t know when he will return home.”

Shakib, who has been serving a two-year-long ban with one year suspended, is now in the USA with his family. He flew to the USA to accompany his wife there at the end of March.

He recently posted a photo of his elder daughter Alaina Hasan Aubrey on social media holding a baby t-shirt stating ‘welcome home’. The caption of the picture was ‘big sisterhood’.
