Nayeem said, “Being in the stadium, I can now truly feel what Messi is. Watching him play from up close is a lifetime experience.
Nadia said, “Since childhood I have supported Argentina from Maradona and Batistuta to Messi. Messi is a favourite player for almost all football lovers beyond team loyalties. But as an Argentina player, he naturally holds a special place in my heart.”
The last World Cup in Qatar was close to Bangladesh, but they could not attend due to various commitments. So when they learned that the 2026 World Cup would be held in the USA, they decided to go watch the matches. They felt disappointed whenever they received rejection emails from FIFA.
Then, at the final stage, they got the opportunity to buy tickets for this Kansas match.
Before the match, they spent the morning around the stadium area, where various World Cup-related events were arranged.
They then arrived at the stadium on a FIFA-arranged bus. After entering, they were both amazed to see waves of blue-and-white supporters filling the stadium.
Nadia said, “It’s my first time watching my favourite team’s match in a stadium. And so many records were made by Messi in that very match—it feels wonderful to even think about it. Watching Messi play will truly remain one of our lifelong achievements.”
