Description: Senior Jail Superintendent Suraiya Akhter said that after contracting dengue, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun was admitted to Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). Once he recovered with treatment, he was brought back to the prison hospital. However, he continued to feel somewhat unwell.

The programme was organised by the Department of Narcotics Control to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2026. The event was held on 26 June at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka.
