19 privileges for Bangabandhu family

The government has issued an official order giving a total of 19 privileges to the family members of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The order, signed by senior secretary Md Mozammel Haque following the directives of the president, was issued on Monday.
The government declared the prerogatives for the Bangabandhu family as per the Father of the Nation's Family Members Security Act, 2009.
According to the Act, two daughters of Father of the Nation and their children will get these facilities.
The first segment of the order says family members of Bangabandhu will get foolproof state security everywhere in the country, including their residences.
They will also get overseas treatment, if required, with government expenditure and other facilities including free utility services, says the second part of the order.
The facilities will be in effect immediately, says the official order.
Security belts will be set up around their residences, any building or construction near their residences will be demolished if considered threat for them, tall buildings around their residences will be brought under watch besides other security measures.
The facilities that Bangabandhu family members will enjoy include free repair, extension and maintenance of their residences, if required, by directorate of public works.
The government will also provide a car accompanied with a driver and fuel at its own cost for each member of the family. The Bangabandhu successors also get a personal assistant, two bearers, a cook and a gardener each.
The government will provide free utility services including telephone, gas, electricity and hi-speed internet bills for family members of the Father of the Nation.
