Dengue: 11 more die, 2782 hospitalised in 24 hrs

Eleven more dengue patients – eight in Dhaka and three in other districts – died across the country in a 24-hour period until 8:00 am on Tuesday. It has taken the death toll to 657 this year.

During the period, a total of 2,782 people were admitted to different hospitals after being diagnosed with dengue. Of them, 951 cases are from Dhaka, while the remaining 1,831 cases were recorded in the different districts.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the information in a regular bulletin on Tuesday evening.

With the new cases, the number of dengue cases now stands at 135,916, it says.
