Ansar members to work to curb spread of rumour

The members of Ansar and VDP (Village Defence Party) will work together to curb the rumour that said human heads are required to construct the Padma Bridge.

Major General Kazi Sharif Kaikobad, director general of Ansar and VDP, said this at a view exchange meeting with newsmen at the forces’ headquarters in city’s Khilgaon area on Tuesday.

A total of 6.1 million field-level members of these two forces will work in this regard, he added.

He said they have sent messages to union parishad and village-level Ansar leaders to warn people not to believe in rumours about Padma Bridge construction.
