BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Enam Ahmed Choudhury has joined Awami League on Wednesday.

Enam met prime minister Sheikh Hasina in the evening at Ganabhaban and joined the party.

The prime minister presented Enam with a bouquet, said PM’s deputy press secretary Ashraful Alam Khokon.

Enam, a former bureaucrat, was a nomination seeker from BNP from Sylhet-1 constituency.

He was named in the primary list of BNP nominees, but was later left out and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's adviser Khondokar Abdul Muktadir got the party nomination.

Enam served as chairman of the Privatisation Commission during the BNP-led government.
