Bangladeshi singer Nishita debuts in Tollywood

Since many years, actors from Bangladesh have come and joined India's Bangla film industry.

In recent times, actresses like Jaya Ahsan, Mahiya Mahi have been working in the Tollywood industry.

Not only this, many popular television singing reality shows also had contestants from Bangladesh and actors have also worked in daily soaps coming down to India's Kolkata from across the border.

This time Bangladeshi singer Nishita Barua started her career in the Tollywood industry, reports Times of India.

She has won many hearts with her debut playback song Ishq Khuda Hai, from the movie 'Ke Tumi Nandini'.

The film is directed by Pathikrit Basu, featured Bonny Sengupta, Saayoni Ghosh, Shankar Chakraborty and Sayantani Guhathakurta as lead characters, according to the Indian English-language daily newspaper

The music director of the film is Amlan Chakraborty and Nishita’s debut song has also got many hits online, with many appreciating it.

Nishita said to TOI, “This opportunity is like a dream come true for me. I am really thankful to Amlanda for giving me the chance to sing in the film. It is an honour for me to sing for a film in the Tollywood industry. It’s a great achievement for me. I promise to surprise my fans with more such songs.”

Nishita Barua earned her popularity by securing second position in a television singing reality show of Bangladesh. In 2007, her first single album 'Aamai Nea Chalo' was released. She has sung a number of songs in Bangladesh.
