Fire at Fakir Apparels in Naraynganj

A fire broke out at newly constructed extension of an export oriented ready-made garment factory, Fakir Apparels, at Panchabati of Fatulla in Narayanganj on Monday.
No causalities were reported in this incident.
Police and local people said the fire broke out at about 9:30am at the dyeing section of Fakir Apparels.
Machinery, clothes and other equipments of that factory were burnt in the flames. 
The factory workers tried to put out the fire.
Later four unit of Mandalpara and Hajiganj fire service reached the spot and brought the fire under control at about 10:30am.
The factory authorities said that the fire destroyed properties worth several crores taka.

Fire Service and Civil Defense sub-assistant director Momtaz Uddin said the fire originated in a dryer machine of the factory.
