Four alleged Bangladeshis detained by Mumbai police

India police have recently detained four alleged Bangladesh nationals for reportedly residing in the country illegally amid concern over the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

Indian media outlet, The Times of India, report said the arrest was made on 12 February.

Two of them were detained from the Malad area while others were held from the Meera Road in Thane district of Mumbai city, the report added.

Quoting the police, Times of India further said that all were useing fake documents to reside in India.
