Housewife ‘commits’ suicide in Sunamganj

A housewife allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house at Jangalbari in Tahirpur upazila of Sunamganj district on Friday.

The deceased was Rahima Khatun, 36, wife of Razzak Ali of the village.

Nandan Kanti Dhar, officer-in-charge of Tahirpur police station, said Rahima, mother of five children, hanged herself from the ceiling of the house when she was alone in the house.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a hospital morgue.

However, the reason behind her suicide could not be known yet.
