<p>Police arrested an 'Indian national' along with two gold bars in City Gate area on Thursday, reports UNB.</p>.<p>The arrestee was identified as Ranjit Acharya, 52.</p>.<p>Acting on a tip off, a team of police arrested Ranjit while crossing the police checkpost near the City Gate area in the afternoon, said Mustafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Akbar Shah police station.</p>.<p>Police also recovered two gold bars worth Tk 950,000, an Indian passport, Rs 2,000 and Tk 3,000 from him.</p>.<p>Police said Ranjit had been involved in smuggling gold from Bangladesh.</p>
