Mob lynch suspected robber

A suspected robber was killed in a mob beat in Kalon Bil area of Gomastapur upazila in Chapainawabganj on Friday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased is Raihan, 24, son of a certain Bakkar Ali, a resident of Birampur area in Chowdhala union of the upazila.

A gang of robbers committed a robbery in Naodapara area adjacent to Boalia-Jambaria road on Thursday night, said Gomastapur police station officer-in-charge Shahin Kamal.

Local people caught two of the robbers in Kalon Bil area and beat them black and blue, leaving the two injured.

Later, the injured were admitted to Gomastapur upazila health complex where Raihan succumbed to his injuries around 6:00am.
