Awami League president and prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday said sensing their inevitable defeat in the election, the Oikya Front has started flexing muscle across the country killing five AL leaders and activists and leaving over 400 injured, reports UNB.

“They (Oikya Front) know they won’t be able to win the election because the people of Bangladesh will never vote for terrorists, militants, corrupts, money launderers, plunderers of orphans’ money. So, they’ve started flexing muscle,” she said.

The PM said this while addressing an election rally of Kusthia through videoconferencing from her Sudha Sadan residence in the capital.

Hasina said Awami League wants that there should be a peaceful environment in the country and the election will be held in a credible manner. “People are the owners of their votes and the country. They’ll choose the government of their choice in the election,” she said.
