Police barbarity goes viral

A video of two policemen assualting a girl went viral on Facebook on Wednesday. The video has been shared by many people, but it could not be known who had shot the video or who had first shared it.

The video shows a police officer slapping the girl hard. She had a black bag with her and there were some clothes in there. However, why the officer slapped her could not be known.

Top officials of Dhaka Metropolitan Police said that a VIP had been scheduled to cross the area, but the girl did not listen to repeated orders to move off the road.

DMP's deputy commissioner Masudur Rahman told Prothom Alo that they would look into the incident.
