Travellers now can carry $10,000 during foreign trip
The government has raised the ceiling of carrying foreign exchange for every passenger to $10,000 from $5,000 during any trip abroad, reports UNB.
In a circular issued by its foreign exchange policy department, Bangladesh Bank said it has enhanced the ceiling to US$ 10,000 or its equivalent from US$5,000 or its equivalent for the incoming and outgoing passengers.
As a result, any passenger can carry upto $10,000 or equivalent foreign currency without any customs declaration, said the circular.
