2 killed as train hits bus, auto-rickshaw in Chattogram
Two people, including a policeman, were killed and 10 others injured when a train hit a bus and an auto-rickshaw at the Jhautala level crossing in Chattogram city on Saturday morning, reports UNB.
One of the deceased was identified as Mohammad Monir, a traffic constable.
Sarwar Alam, officer in charge of the Chattogram railway police, said the accident occurred around 10:30am.
"The train crashed into the bus and the CNG-run auto-rickshaw at the level crossing, leaving two dead on the spot and 10 others injured," he said.
The injured have been admitted to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital, the OC said.
