2 killed as truck hits CNG-run auto-rickshaw
Two people were killed and two were injured as a truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Netrokona-Mohanganj road of Netrokona on Friday evening, reports UNB.
The deceased were the auto-rickshaw driver Abul Bashar Fakir, 35, and Siddiqur Rahman, 40.
Netrokona Model police station officer-in-charge Khandaker Shaker Ahmed confirmed the incident to the news agency.
Abul and Siddiqur both died on the spot while local people took the two critically injured to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, he added.
The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to Netrokona Modern Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem, Shaker Ahmed said.
Although the truck has been seized, the truck driver and his helper escaped from the scene, the OC added.
Police will file a case in this regard, he added.
