Journalist killed in Barguna road accident

Road accident claimed a local journalist’s life in Barguna’s Patharghata upazila on Sunday afternoon, reports BSS.

KM Mustafizur Rahman Jitu, Patharghata correspondent of Dhaka Pratidin was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a pickup van in Patharghata.

Officer-in-charge of Patharghata police station Syed Ahmed said the accident occurred this noon in Bienchotki area.

“Journalist Zitu died on the spot and we are trying to arrest the driver of the pickup van” the OC added.
