Three of a family killed in Madaripur accident

A man and his two nephews were killed as their tractor overturned and fell into a canal in Madaripur Saturday evening, reports UNB.

The deceased were identified as Jahirul Islam, 22, and his nephews Jobayer Howlader, 10, and Zihad Howlader, 7, from Dakshin Madra in Sadar upazila.

The accident occurred when they were returning home after ploughing their land and Jahirul was trying to take the vehicle up a high road and it overturned.

Locals rescued and took them to Madaripur Sadar Hospital where physicians announced them dead on arrival, said Md. Monwar Hossain Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Madaripur sadar police station.
