Bangladesh Bank officials' foreign trips cancelled
All orders issued in connection with foreign trips of Bangladesh Bank officials and employees have been cancelled.
Moreover, decisions have been taken to halt the foreign trips financed entirely and partially by the central bank. So, Bangladesh Bank officials and employees' foreign trips, participation in the education programmes, seminars and workshops come to an end.
However, the foreign trips for medical treatment and performance of hajj with own expenses are allowed, according to an internal instruction of Bangladesh Bank.
Foreign trips of all government officials, including officials of the statutory, state-owned, autonomous and semi-autonomous organisations and state-run companies and financial institutions, will remain suspended in the context of post-Covid-19 economic recovery and ongoing global situation, reported BSS quoting the finance ministry circular issued on Monday.
