BGB deployed in 22 districts

The government has deployed Border Guard Bangladesh troops in 22 districts of the country to ensure security during the holy Durga Puja, the largest festival of the Hindu community people.

The districts include Cumilla, Narsingdi and Munshiganj, said BGB director (operations) Lt. Col. Foyzur Rahman.

In a message sent to the media, the BGB director said the deployment has been made as per the demand of district administration and the order of home ministry.

The force will be deployed in the capital city as well if the concerned authorities seek for it, said Foyzur Rahman.
