Fire service men on Tuesday recovered the body of missing security guard Harunur Rashid from underneath the debris of a building collapsed in a huge explosion in the capital’s Moghbazar area on Sunday evening.
With this, the death toll in the incident has risen to eight.
The fire service members noticed the body of Harunur Rashid at a small room near the staircase while they were lifting the rubbles from the ground floor today.
Deputy director of fire service Debashis Bardhan told Prothom Alo, “We noticed the body in the debris at around 3:45pm. We recovered the body and informed the Ramna police station about the matter.”
Harunur Rashid went missing after the explosion rocked the building that also injured at least 200 people.
