DRU concerned over case against journo Nurnabi under Digital Security Act

Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) has expressed its deep concern over a case filed under the Digital Security Act (DSA) against its member and Jamuna Television’s senior reporter Nurnabi Sarker, reports news agency UNB.

In a joint statement, DRU president Nazrul Islam Mithu and general secretary Nurul Islam Hasib expressed their concern on Tuesday.

Earlier, on 15 June, 2021, Lutfunnesa Beauty, former vice chairman of Trishal upazila in Mymensingh filed the case against Nurnabi Sarker under the DSA.

The DRU leaders have demanded to stop the harassment of Nurnabi Sarker and the cancellation of the Digital Security Act.
