Another Bangladeshi hajj pilgrim dies in Saudi Arabia

Another Bangladeshi died while performing hajj in Saudi Arabia. With this, some 16 Bangladeshi pilgrims, including five women, have died this year during hajj.

This information has been obtained from the website of the Ministry of Religion regarding hajj management. The latest person who died has been identified as Md Foyezur Rahman, 50.

Foyezur Rahman died on Wednesday local time. His passport number is BY 0547889. He is a resident of Shahparan police station in Sylhet.

Hajj flight started from Bangladesh on 5 June. The hajj is performed on 8 July (according to 9 Zilhaj) based on the sighting of the moon. A total of 60,139 Bangladeshis have gone to Saudi Arabia for hajj this year. The return hajj flight is starting from Thursday.
