BSF firing kills Bangladeshi along Lalmonirhat border

A Bangladeshi youth was shot dead while two others suffered bullet wounds by some members of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Mohishtoli border in Aditmari upazila of Lalmonirhat on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Subal Chandra, 34, reports UNB.

Commanding officer of Border Guard Bangladesh-15 Lieutenant Colonel Touhidul Alam said a patrol team of BSF of Raninagar camp opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders, numbering 10-12, when they went near pillar no. 920 to bring cattle, leaving Subal dead on the spot and two others injured.

A letter was sent to BSF seeking return of the body after holding a flag meeting, Touhidul added.
