BSF shoots Bangladeshi dead along Thakurgaon border
A Bangladeshi man was shot to death by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along the Thakurgaon border on Wednesday night.
The incident took place nearby Choshpara bordering area of Baliadangi upazila, according to the locals.
The deceased Joynal Abedin, 35, from Joygaon village in Ranisankail upazia, used to visit his in-law’s house in West Bengal’s Panjipara village of North Dinajpur through the Choshpara border, they said.
When the man was trying to enter India near the 379th Pillar of the border on Wednesday night, he was shot dead by the BSF men, they added.
Captain Lt Col Shahidul Islam of Thakurgaon 50 BGB confirmed the death of Bangladeshi man.
