Faraaz’s friendship to rescue the misguided
Faraaz’s sacrifice for his friends proves Bangladesh’s youth are against militancy. It is his friendship that will cleanse the country of militancy. It will rescue misguided young people like Nibraas.
These sentiments were expressed at a debate organised on 30 July at the Right Foundation conference hall at Bogra Road in Barisal.
The debate on “Nibraas and the others have forgotten, we haven’t…”, was participated by school and college students who said, by giving his life, Faraaz had proven that Bangladesh is a land of harmony. Militancy cannot rise here. Young persons like Nibraas who have been misguided, must be rescued with friendship like that of Faraaz. A few like Nibraas may have forgotten our existence, but thousands more like Faraaz will save us. They will take Bangladesh forward.
The Barisal Debating Society had organised a two-day debate camp.
At the closing ceremony, additional deputy commissioner of Barisal Mohammed Abul Kalam Azad said he was impressed at the way the youth felt about militancy and was confident that they would take Bangladesh to the height of development.
