Eden College student dies falling from human hauler

A college student was killed when she fell from a human hauler at Shanir Akhra Bus Stand area in city’s Kadamtali area on Monday.

The deceased is Nusrat Jahan Jhuma, 19, a 1st year sudent of Eden College and daughter of Abul Hossain of Muradnagar upazila in Cumilla, reports UNB.

The accident took place at noon when Jhuma fell from the human hauler and sustained injureis on her head while it was crossing a speed breaker on the road, said Bacchu Mia, sub-inspector of Dhaka Medical College Hospital police camp.

Later, she was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared her dead around 1:00pm.
