Attorney general Mahbubey Alam on Monday sent his opinion to the government about the freedom fighters' quota in the civil service.

Officials of the public administration ministry collected his written opinion from his office.

"I have put forward my opinion about the freedom fighters' quota in government jobs to the public administration ministry officials. The government will decide over it," the attorney general said while talking to reporters at his office in the afternoon.

He, however, declined to disclose his opinion.

Mahbubey Alam said he received a letter from the public administration secretary last week seeking his opinion over the matter.
