At least six people, including two women, were killed in two separate road crashes in Rajshahi and Bagerhat districts on Thursday morning.

In Rajshahi, two women among three people were killed as a bus overturned at Mirganj in Bagha upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

The identity of the deceased could not be traced immediately though it was confirmed that one among them was the bus conductor.

"A human hauler came on the way of the Rajshahi-bound bus from Bagha. The bus overturned when its driver tried to save the hauler around 6:15am," said Bagha police station officer-in-charge Mohsin Ali.

In Bagerhat, according to the news agency UNB, three more people were killed after a truck hit a human hauler on Khulna-Mongla Highway in Rampal upazila on Thursday.

One of the deceased was identified as Shohagh Sheikh, 35, son of Jalil Sheikh of Haldibunia village in the upazila.

The accident took place at Bhagabazar around 7:00am, said Rabiul Islam, officer-in-charge of Katakhali highway police.

The victims were killed on the spot when a Mongla-bound truck hit the human hauler, he added.

The police have already recovered the bodies and sent to a local hospital for autopsy.
