Schoolteacher killed in road crash

A schoolteacher was killed as a bus hit his motorcycle in Poba upazila of Rajshahi on Tuesday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased is Abdul Halim, 32, an assistant teacher of Kasba High School in the upazila.

Shafiqul Islam, headmaster of the school, said Halim was going to the school riding the motorcycle. When he reached Haripur Dargapara around 9:30am, a bus crashed into the bike, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body, said officer-in-charge of Damkura police station Abdur Latif.

The body was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
