Khulna city goes under rainwater

Heavy monsoon rain inundated most parts of Khulna city on Saturday, inflicting immense sufferings on the city dwellers, according to UNB.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department recorded 114 millimetres rain in six hours till 9:00am.

Most of the areas including Satrasta and Royal Hotel intersections, Iqubalnagar, Moulvipara, Nirala, Khalishpur and Dowlatpur got waterlogged after the heavy downpour that started at 3:00am.

All the shops and business establishments remained closed till filing of this report at 11:00am.
