BNP will sell nomination forms on Thursday among party men willing to contest the upcoming by-election to Rangpur-3 constituency with its ticket, reports UNB.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement at a press briefing at the party's Nayapaltan central office on Tuesday.
He said party nomination seekers would be able to collect the forms at Tk 10,000 each from their central office.
After filling the forms, the aspirants would have to submit them along with Tk 25,000 security deposit the following day.
The party's nomination board would interview the aspirants at 5pm on Saturday at BNP the chairperson's Gulshan office to pick the most suitable candidate for the by-polls.
The by-election to Rangpur-3 seat which fell vacant following the death of Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad will be held on 5 October.
According to the election schedule announced by the Election Commission, the deadline for the submission of nomination papers is 9 September.
The date for scrutinising the nomination papers is 11 September and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is 16 September.
