Two killed in Rajshahi road crash

A motorcyclist and a pedestrian were killed in a road accident at Tetultola in Mohanpur upazila of Rajshahi on Sunday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased were identified as driver Sifat Hossain, 20, of Shah Makhdum Thana area and pedestrian Khayer Ali, 50, of Keshwarhat area in the upazila.

Mostaque Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Mohanpur police station, said the accident took place around 8:45am when motorcyclist Sifat hit Khayer after losing control over the steering, leaving them critically injured.

They were taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where doctors declared the duo dead. The bodies were kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
