SC for swift disposal of cases filed to ‘destroy communal harmony’
The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday directed all the criminal courts and tribunals to dispose of cases filed for allegedly destroying communal harmony in the country within 90 days of filing charge-sheet.
Supreme Court authorities have published a notice in this regard, reports BSS.
Signed by Supreme Court registrar general Md Ali Akbar, the notice said all the criminal courts and tribunal are being directed to dispose of cases filed for destroying communal harmony within 90 days of filing of charge sheet.
If any court fails to do so, it has to send an explanation with the reason behind, to the Supreme Court.
