Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit gets new chief

Bangladesh Bank's executive director Md Mausd Biswas has been appointed as the head of the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) for next two years, reports BSS.

The Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance issued a circular in this regard on Tuesday.

During his career, he worked in the Foreign Exchange Policy Department, Banking Regulation and Policy Department, Payment Systems Department, Department of Off-Site Supervision, Foreign Exchange and Treasury Management Department and World Bank project in different roles.

Masud was born on 18 January 1963 in Nawlamari village in Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga.
