GP appoints Mahboob Hassan as chief business officer

Leading mobile phone operator, Grameenphone has appointed Kazi Mahboob Hassan as chief business officer (CBO).

The new role of Kazi Mahboob will be effective from 2 July 2020, said a press release on Wednesday, UNB reports.

He has been serving as head of strategic and large accounts since 1 January 2020. He joined in GP as chief specialist-strategy on 1 February 2016.

Before joining GP in 2016, Kazi was a senior management consultant at Deloitte UK, where he was responsible for leading business transformation programs for clients across various sectors, including telecom, oil and gas, consumer business, and financial services.

Kazi has also held senior positions in finance and marketing with IBM UK and BAT Bangladesh. He has a BBA from the University of Dhaka (IBA) and MBA degree from University of Oxford.
