Guitarist Zeheen ‘commits suicide’

Zeheen Ahmed, son of musician Manam Ahmed of the Miles, committed suicide by hanging himself at his Dhanmondi residence in the city on Saturday afternoon, reports UNB.

He was 26.

Zeheen, himself a guitarist, composer, instructor and member of rock band Mechanix, was found hanging in his apartment around 3:15 pm, said officer-in-charge Abdul Latif of Dhanmondi police station quoting family members.

Later, Zeheen was taken to Labaid Hospital where physicians declared him dead around 3:30pm, the OC added.

However, it is still not clear what prompted the guitarist to kill himself.
